Leadership: Model the Way with Attitude
- Attitude is everything. It is the difference between good and great. It separates the mature from the immature. Attitude is what causes people to give up or persevere. Indeed, the leader has a responsibility to inspire hope with an optimistic attitude. Anyone can be negative and lay blame.
- But wise is the leader who is positive and takes responsibility. This is the attitude God blesses. Indeed, He dispenses more opportunities to one whose attitude is aligned with His agenda. God honors humility, unselfishness, and hope in Him.
- Therefore, proper attitude alignment requires a leader have:
- • A prayerful attitude--depends on God and seeks out His wisdom.
- • A positive attitude--always looks for the good in an individual or situation.
- • An appreciative attitude--gratitude generates a right attitude; it rarely complains.
- Is my attitude worth emulating? Do I model an attitude of gratitude?
