A Kingdom Perspective in Fundraising: Humility

  • As fundraisers we can contribute to the development of a kingdom mindset as we minister to our donors. The third idea is humility.
  • Humility
  • Fortunately God’s kingdom does not revolve around our ministry. This is a good thing, because none of us could survive that kind of pressure. However, it is easy to act like it does depend on us when our zeal and fear cause us to exclude others from our relational portfolio. We receive gifts to give gifts, but when we think that all we have is for ourselves, we are prideful and short-circuit the expansion of His kingdom. When we walk in humility, however, we look to the needs of others before ourselves (Philippians 2:4-5).
  • Who can I bless by praying for the needs of their ministry in Jesus’ name?
